Assessment of faults in joints and terminations invariably points to jointer error which in turn usually points to the use of incorrect or poor preparation equipment. The Speed Stripper Model 1542-2CL is an end stripper that will remove sheath XLPE or EPR insulation in a spiral action. This was the first tool to employ the principle of the wedge blade which lifts and separates the layers as it cuts. This prevents scoring and damage to adjacent layers.
The Model 1700SS Semi-con Scorer is the perfect tool for removing easy strip screen from single core cable. This tool has a spiral and square cut facility and a variable depth blade. The jaw is spring loaded to accommodate eccentricity in the cable.
The model GB-DSI tool is a bonded screen removing tool. This spiralling device has benefitted from 10 years of development of a basic design. It leaves an excellent finish on the XLPE that requires no further dressing
